All-Star Mathematician Award: Certificate, Poster, Template

- Zip

Description
I always call my students All-Star Mathematicians or Master Mathematicians and when I do, they sit a little taller and dig a little deeper into their thinking.
This All-Star Mathematician coveted award goes to children who work extra hard during math class and impress us with their math expertise! Perhaps the children solved a difficult problem, independently used a resource around the room to tackle a problem, explained their mathematical reasoning to the class, solved a problem wrong but persevered until the problem was solved correctly, made a math connection to a real–life situation, surprised us with an explanation no one else thought of, etc. I equate it to using SMART BEADS in my classroom but this recognizes math only. If students deserve this award, I give them a high-five and tell them to add their name to the board and give them a certificate to bring home. It's a fun way to recognize achievements and makes a quick and easy display in the class!
