Is your class ready to take the challenge? I use this incentive system in my classroom to give students an extra motivation to learn their sight words and to give parents a way to work with their child at home.
Students receive individualized lists with sight word rings, personal dry erase boards, and a new book a week to practice reading and writing their words fluently. When they can read and write their list, they get to put a star on the "All-Star Wall" and receive a new list.
I have included all the Dolch sight words, but we use Jan Richardson's lists, so I have also included words divided by her lists.
-"I Met My Goal!" Stars
-All-Star Wall Headings
-Templates for personal dry erase boards (print on cardstock & laminate)
-Word Cards for sight word rings (Dolch and Jan lists included)
-"My Word List" pages
Note: Although lists are included, I also differentiate those lists as needed! For some students I may cut a list in half or give them letters to ID instead so that all students can participate. Do what works best for your students!
