Use when reading the short story All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury. Two figurative language worksheets, one on similes and metaphors, and one on personification with explanation and practice. Then have your students look for examples of figurative language to sort on the Figurative Language Chart (metaphors, similes, and personification). Students write them down on the graphic organizer. I've included a chart filled in with possible answers for class discussion. Goes along well with my PowerPoints on All Summer in a Day, too. Updated 2018.
