All students can draw and so can you! Using directed drawings with children is a fabulous way to engage students. While students are busy working and listening to your cues, they are also practicing how to follow directions. When students engage in directed drawings they are often surprised at how well they draw. Using oral prompts, with simple shapes and letters allows children to create a masterpiece.
There are 3 drawings per season with step-by-step written directions and visual guide. There are a total of 12 drawings (see list below). Handwriting and drawing pages are also included in bundle.
They allow children and people of all ages feel successful in their pursuit of learning to draw. Learning to draw also helps young students feel more confident in writing.
Directed Drawings also help students improve listening comprehension and following direction skills. Students pay close attention to the teacher’s instructions and do their very best.
Directed Drawings can be used in whole class or small group settings. They encourage drawing and writing skills. They are perfect for story starters, hallway displays, holiday parties, brain breaks, holiday gifts, and animal projects. They are fun and everyone enjoys adding their own unique touch.
Every drawing has been used and loved by children in grades: Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade, and Sixth grade. Even families enjoy them!
