Are you looking for a new and exciting literacy center? All you need is a pocket chart and you are ready to go! Students will love to point, read and complete the worksheets in this pack that accompany your pocket chart. It makes for an easy to set up center!
In this packet, I have created a total of 20 pocket chart activities for your students to read, write and color. Everything is already made for you - simply print, photocopy, cut and insert into your pocket chart! There are differentiated worksheets that accompany each pocket chart activity so you can choose which to use based on your class needs.
The focus for each activity is based on recognizing, reading and writing SIGHT WORDS.
There are a total of 20 complete pocket chart activities for you to use. The activities are organized according to these themes which you can use at any time of the year:
All About Me -> my family, what I like to eat, feelings
My Community -> where do I live, community helpers, places in my community
School - school tools, shapes, counting
Holidays -> Halloween, Valentine's Day (theme of love), let's have a picnic, winter holidays (gingerbread)
Seasons -> what we can do in the summer, things to see in the spring, leaves all around, a beautiful winter
Stuff Kids Love -> dinosaurs, magical kingdoms, monsters (fun and cute ones!)
Having fun is so important in my classroom - using this resource will surely make the pocket chart a new favorite center in your classroom too!
***PLEASE NOTE: the activities in this pocket chart pack differ from those in my All Year Long Pocket Chart Fun (original and BEST SELLER)
as these ones focus on sight words***
***If you are looking for more activities for the pocket chart, please check out my All Year Long Pocket Chart Fun (original and BEST SELLER)
for activities focusing on color words and sight words (a little easier than this packet).***
Thanks for looking!
