All in a Rainforest Day Ebook is created from a published and well-reviewed print book. It uses factual text and authentic photographs to show plants and animals of the rainforest throughout a day from morning to night. It can be used as the basis for an ELA and life science mini-unit covering the topics of rainforest biodiversity, adaptation, ecosystems, and passage of time throughout a day. Teacher resource documents and visuals to be used with this book are listed below.
Students may read the book and compete the worksheet independently but teacher/parent guidance documents are also included for extended support.
This title is most appropriate for grades K and 1 but may also be useful for grade 2 challenged readers and students with special needs. A reading of the book and completion of all or most of the suggested follow up resources will likely take one week. This recommendation is based on an estimate of 20-30 minutes per lesson for grades K-2.
