Engage students in this kinesthetic activity that gets them out of their seats and moving around the room. Differentiate your classroom with this student-directed question trail activity that introduces the concept of allegory in George Orwell's Animal Farm by informing students of the elements of allegory as well as introducing them to prominent figures and concepts of the Russian Revolution.
Each question on the trail is posted around the classroom. At each station, students must answer a multiple choice question. The correct response will lead them to a different station. If they answer each question correctly, they will complete a full circuit. If students find themselves at a question they already answered, they must backtrack and correct their mistake. If you notice students are struggling, you can easily refer to the answer key and direct them to where they got tripped up.
