This resource allows you to be very engaging with your students while explaining the "greater than & less than" concept when comparing numbers. I used this resource with first graders for a mini-lesson and I used a projector.
The students get to use their imagination while learning, and they can be involved in the learning process through the examples in the resource. I modeled this mini-lesson resource to allow the teacher to teach directly to the students, provide guided examples, but also check for understanding at the end of the lesson with the "fly grid" formative assessment.
**You may do the grid as a whole group allowing each student to have a turn and assessment,
** You may print the grid, cut them apart, and use as a "ticket out the door"
