Alliterations are fun and can help students use their creativity. This activity consists of:
• an instruction and example sheet
• a rough draft sheet
• final draft sheet.
Once the final draft is created, the sheets can be gathered and bound into a class book. I used clear sheet protectors and a binder to create my class books. In this way the sheets can be send home at the end of the quarter or year and the books can be reused many times.
I have also used the final draft sheet to create a PowerPoint slide. Then I would take a digital photo and insert each student’s alliteration picture on his or her slide. The class presentation can be shown during an open house or other community activity. Copies of the presentation can be easily reproduced so each student has the PowerPoint for his or her own.
