Alliteration made fun and easy! This engaging resource provides useful practice in using alliteration with a Spring theme. It's great as a whole class lesson or for use in literacy centers.
This product includes:
• Notes about teaching alliteration
• A mini alliteration poster (black & white ink-saving version also included)
• A blank template page for each letter of the alphabet for students to create a class book
* A word bank is also provided for students who may need some extra assistance.
Older elementary students can still join in on the fun by creating a class book that has an unfolding story told throughout the alliterative pages!
How I use this product:
I give each of my students a letter of the alphabet (or two, depending on the class size). Their job is to think of something related to the season that begins with the assigned letter(s), draw a picture, and create an alliterative caption or description.
This project can be done in a variety of ways:
*Seasonal -- An alphabetical alliterative sampler of Spring.
*Ongoing Tale – Create a story map as a class and tell the tale alliteratively and
in alphabetical order.
Example: Patty Peterson's Perfectly Pink Parade
The possibilities are endless!
