Alphabet Visual Foreground and Background Coloring pages
Use this Alphabet Visual Foreground and Background activity to reinforce both the alphabet sounds and the perceptual skill: visual foreground and background.
The development of Visual Foreground and Background is important in students as it allows them to differentiate between items on a page and later on words in a sentence and on a page. Without the ability to do so, images and words blend into one another and the student is unable to distinguish the difference. It is an important pre-reading skill.
Students need to color the letter and its corresponding picture. They then also practice their fine motor further by writing over the dotted letters to form the word of the picture they are coloring.
