PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Let me help you introduce the alphabet in 26 days and provide you with the resources you need to reinforce these skills throughout the year. My “Alphabet Adventure” 600+ page endless bundle will give your students a wide variety of activities to identify, trace, sort, and write the letters, as well as practicing their sounds. This bundle includes projectable slides, literacy centers, pocket chart activities, handwriting practice, take home pages, letter chants, and much more! This bundle is endless because I will continue to add additional resources to it, which you will be able to download for FREE!! I have included suggested routines to help guide you through the first 26 days of letter instruction. During this time, students will have ample time to build confidence with cutting, gluing, tracing, and writing skills, while practicing letters and sounds.

Please read the following resource description and look at the preview to see examples of what is included.

Alphabet Adventure Projectable Slides Each letter includes 3 slides. The first introduces the letter, the second invites students to make the sound of the letter, and the third has pictures that begin with that letter hidden in different settings. Short vowel sounds are represented for each vowel and students will find pictures that end with the sound of x. The slides follow the same pattern, but the setting of the third slide will change. To make this feel even more like an adventure, help students make binoculars out of toilet paper rolls or brown paper. They can use these each day when searching for the pictures that match the letter sound.

Alphabet Adventure Journal There is one journal page for each letter of the alphabet. I have included four cover options, two with a girl and two with a boy. There are detailed instructions for assembling the journal and establishing a routine to complete it. Students will trace and write each letter. They will also name, color, cut, and glue the four pictures from the slide show onto the journal page. Students will receive a certificate upon completion of their “Alphabet Adventure”.

Alphabet Adventure Take Home Pages I have included an editable letter to parents explaining the “Alphabet Adventure” program, “Ask Me About My Adventure” daily take home cards, and “Let me show you what I can do!” homework pages. Each page follows a predictable patterns and mirrors what was practiced that day.

Projectable Letter Chants I have included letter chants for each letter. Each vowel has a chant for its long and short sound.

Pocket Chart Chant and Picture Cards I have included letter chants and pictures for each letter. Each vowel has a chant for its long and short sound. These are made to fit in a pocket chart and are different than the projectable chants. This activity comes with a header to introduce the letter, as well as headers and letter cards for sorting. I have included a detailed daily routine for this activity.

Alphabet Activity Mats and Printables I have included templates for building letters with pom poms, q-tip painting, and playdough, as well as letter matching and letter mazes. These can be used during centers and will help build fine motor skills.

Alphabet Adventure Letter and Activity Cards This section includes many different letter sorting and matching activities. Students can sort by font, size, inclusion in their names, uppercase, lowercase, etc. Students can also match uppercase/lowercase letters and letters to pictures. Pictures include both clipart and photos. Sorting and matching activities can be completed in a pocket chart. Also included are “Flip and Trace/Color/Write” cards with recording sheets, “Spin and Cover” mats and spinners, "Roll and Read" dice, and alphabet puzzle cards.

Handwriting Practice This section includes a variety of handwriting pages, beginning with just tracing and progressing to tracing and writing words and letters. Words include simple decodable words and beginning sight words.
