After a long summer break, there are many skills students need to review at the beginning of the year before we dive in. However, the curriculum often doesn't allow any time for review with our students. I created this packet to QUICKLY review handwriting and letter/sounds with my students in the beginning of the year. Each page covers 2 letters of the alphabet. The directions scaffold the students to independence:
1. Trace the uppercase and lowercase letters.
2. Write the uppercase and lowercase letters.
3. Circle the pictures that begin with the letter.
4. Write a word that begins with the letter.
This could be used as homework, literacy station/independent practice, morning work, etc. It is also a great assessment tool to see where your students are performing with these skills.
