Help your kids learn their letter sounds in a fun and engaging way that includes movement and brain breaks! Your kids will watch great educational videos and they will get to sing, think, and move as well!
**All videos are safe - All YouTube video links were created through ShafeShare.tv**
This set includes 48 different activities PER LETTER. 36 are videos that lead to lessons and songs about the letter. 12 are brain breaks that pop up in a text message. For example:
-Zoom like an AIRPLANE around your table 2 times.
-Count backward from 10 while you run in place
-RED starts with the letter R. Tell a friend 3 words that RHYME with red.
-WHALES live in the ocean. Tell a friend 3 more animals that live in the ocean.
-JOG around your table 3 times while saying the sound of the letter J.
-Draw a picture of something that begins with the letter P.
-10 Jumping Jacks!
-Hop up and down and count to 100 by tens.
-Draw the letter X on a scrap. Cut it out in the shape of a rectangle.
Each letter comes in two different versions. One has a cute polka dot border, and one is an ink-saving version with small black borders.
The brain break cards are marked with an underlined letter so that if you need a quiet day, or if you have non-readers working independently, you can remove those cards temporarily.
Videos are from Sesame Street, Have Fun Teaching, and Storybots, just to name a few. I screened all videos.
You will need either a laptop with a camera, a smartphone, an iPad, or an iPod Touch to use this workshop. If you don't have any of those things, this would be a great activity for visiting "smartphone parents" to use with individual kids.
