Create Your Own Luck – Alphabet Bingo has been designed with the intention of helping special needs students gain letter recognition in a fun and functional way. Students create their own Bingo Card and you create play. Optimized for large group play with four or more players. Once Bingo Cards are assembled you can have students guess the chosen letter in a variety of ways.

Step 1: Print or copy enough Alphabet Bingo Boards (Page 3), Alphabet Bingo Squares (Page 4) and Alphabet Bingo Chips (Page 5) for each student.
Step 2: Print 1 Set of Alphabet Bingo Caller Cards (Pages 6-12).
Step 3: Cut out Alphabet Bingo Caller Cards along dotted lines.
Step 4: Have students cut out all Alphabet Bingo Squares (Page 4) along dotted line.
Step 5: Have students randomly select sixteen of the twenty-six Alphabet Bingo Squares.
Step 6: Have students paste their selected Alphabet Bingo Squares onto their Alphabet Bingo Board (Page 3). You can discard unused Alphabet Bingo Squares or use them to create a second Alphabet Bingo Board.
Step 7: Have students cut out Alphabet Bingo Chips (Page 5) along dotted line.
Step 8: PLAY!
How To Play:
Play as you would any other Bingo game. I generally play by randomly picking a Letter from the Alphabet Bingo Caller Cards and then think of a word that starts with that letter. For example, if you choose the letter A you might ask your students what letter does the word Apple start with?
You will want to closely monitor students as they create their Bingo Boards to make sure they are not copying each other or placing letters in order. You may wish to play this on a regular basis so laminating Alphabet Bingo Cards (once assembled by students), Alphabet Bingo Chips (before they are cut out) and Alphabet Bingo Caller Cards (before they are cut out) is HIGHLY recommended.
