If you introduce the letters of the alphabet to your students, the ABC book is an easy idea to incorporate. It makes a great end of the year keepsake! First, pick your favorite 8 ½ x 11 alphabet reproducible page for each letter. At the bottom of each page, type the the letter and the name of item you want your students to add. For example, A is for Apple. Next, let your students attach the item to the page. You can use a variety of materials such as stickers, die-cuts, clip art, ink stamps, paint, crayons, or markers. Save the completed pages and compile into a keepsake book.
We have included a downloadable cover, available in color or black & white, a sample of a couple letter pages, and a list of possible ideas for each letter of the alphabet. Please feel free to use our ideas or your own favorite words. When you have completed this project, you will find that your students take a lot of pride in their hard work. More importantly, they love to read their ABC books to their family. If you are looking for more Alphabet activities, check out our ABC Bucket or ABC Tracing Pages products.
