Description
It’s all about the ABC’s! These Alphabet Cards are a great way to help students understand their ABC's! They can be used to:
-help children identify their letters,
-assist students with the sounds the letters make
-guide students when alphabetizing
-and more!
This set has MANY different options to meet a variety of student needs. Please check out the Preview file for full-sized examples of everything that is included!
ALL of the following sizes come in these color options:
* full color
* black & white
* color coded for vowels & consonants (red vowels, blue consonants)
Here are your different sizes of options for you to choose from:
-full page (each letter card takes up 8.5” x 11”)
-half-page (each letter card takes up 5.5” x 8.5”)
-quarter-page (each letter card takes up 5.5” x 4.25”)
-ABC desk plate (full alphabet that can be taped to a student’s desk)
-ABC resource page (full page of the complete alphabet)
I use these resources in a variety of ways, depending on the skills the students need. The full-size pages are a great way to display the alphabet for students to reference as they work around the room. The half-size pages can be used in the same way, but are great for smaller rooms where students work.
The quarter-size pages, desk plates and resource page are terrific student resources. I use the quarter-size pages for making mini-ABC books for students who need the practice of recognizing letters and sounds. The picture clues are a great way to help build student awareness of the correct correspondence between the letters and their sounds. The desk plates can be helpful for students who have visual-processing difficulties or for any student who can benefit from having the alphabet in a place that is easy to access! The full sheet ABC resource page can also be used in a variety of ways. I have stuck them in folders for students to grab, placed them at centers, and glued them into student journals – the possibilities are endless!
Don't forget to check out the Preview file to see some examples!
