This resource contains center activities that can be used all year around and focus on alphabet fun! Included are 5 activities that are perfect for those Kindergarten and other young learners beginning to learn the alphabet and beginning sounds.
The following centers are included:
~Monster Match: Students will use magnetic letters and find the correct matching letter to the one shown. You can also laminate these and have students write the matching uppercase letter.
~Find the Match: Place this on a cookie sheet for extra fun! Students will use the pretend pocket chart and place the matching magnetic letter next to the letter shown. This center can also be laminated and used with a dry erase marker.
~Ketchup and Mustard: Students will match the lettered ketchup and mustard bottles that show both upper and lowercase letters.
~Starts With...: Here students will look at the picture shown and find the magnetic letter that is the beginning sound of the picture. Students can also write out the answer; these can be placed on a cookie sheet for more fun as well!
~Letter Houses: Students will take a letter house and find the matching four puzzle pieces that contain picture words that begin with the house letter.
Each of these will meet the varying levels of your classroom which is perfect for the beginning of the year! A pictured, student direction card is included for each activity.
