By using the Alphabet Chart and Tracing Cards in conjunction with the “Apple Apple Aaa" song by Barbara Milne, children learn their sounds quickly. I developed the Alphabet Chart and Tracing Cards to match the picture clues in the song. Check out the "Sounds like Learning” CD by Barbara Milne or see it on YouTube by Clicking Here.
I use these tracing cards as a warm up activity in my small reading group lesson. Your students will love using the chart as a reference when writing and practicing their sounds. Students who are learning their sounds can use the Tracing Cards to finger trace the letter while they are listening to the song. Research proves that this is a great reinforcing activity that helps students learn their sounds.
The combination of these two tools will help your students master their phonics while having fun at the same time.
