About this book:
This Alphabet / Beginning Sounds Crowns unit has been designed for children in Preschool and Kindergarten (Prep). It contains 26 crowns, head wraps with traceable upper and lower case letters and 3 pictures to exemplify the beginning sound for each letter.
Directions for use:
These crowns can be completed as an “I know the letter!” achievement activity at the end of a “Letter of the Week” curriculum, or they can be completed as stand alone activities when teaching the alphabet and beginning sounds.
To assemble, children cut out their crowns on the cutting line or around the solid shape. They also cut out the shapes containing 3 pictures and glue them onto their crowns. I have included letter tracing head wraps that can be secured to each side of the crown to form the back part of it. Usage of this is optional; students could use string instead to tie to the crown so it will sit on their heads.
Happy Teaching :)
