This is a bundle of emergent readers that each focus on a letter of the alphabet. Each book has simple, repetitive text for early readers. Each page features a sentence with the repetitive text: I see a _______. The name of the picture is in dotted font for the students to trace. I use these emergent readers with my kindergarten readers, but it could be used in pre-k to have the students practice identifying sight words and tracking print.
Each of the books is 8-9 pages long and these books print 2 per page to save on ink and paper. We read these books together and they color them. When my students are finished reading and coloring this emergent reader they put it in their book baskets as another text they can read during Read to Self and Read to Someone during our Daily 5 rotations.
