This is a fun and active way for students to practice alphabet identification and beginning sounds. There are 3 versions of Alphabet Freeze included in this download. I like to play this game in the following order at the beginning of the school year:
1. Alphabet ID
2. Alphabet ID Version 2
3. Beginning Sounds
Simply print onto paper/cardstock and laminate for future use. Cut out cards and find some up-beat music to play during the game.
**How to Play**
Give each student a card. Students will pair up and say the letter/sound on their partner’s card. After both partners have said the letter/sound, they will trade cards and find new partners. This process continues until the music stops and students FREEZE! The teacher will draw a card from the teacher pile and whoever has that letter/sound card wins that round. The game can last as long as you want!
