One of the activities I do daily in my Kindergarten classroom is practice the recognition of the letters and sounds. I created these ABC flash cards so that the children could each have their own letter ring to practice with at home. I also use these alphabet cards frequently with other word sorts and building activities. Each card measures approximately 2x3 inches. All 26 capital and lowercase letters are included along with a few blank cards. Use with Kindergarten Common Core Standard - RF.K.1 - Demonstrate understanding of the organization and basic features of print. Recognize and name all upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet. I will frequently have the children say the letter sound as I flip through the cards which aligns to KCCS-RF.K.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Demonstrate the basic knowledge of letter-sound correspondences by producing the primary or most frequent sound for each consonant.
*** I have recently added the numbers 0-20 to help with number recognition. These cards measure approximately 4x3 inches.
