This is a set of pictures for each letter of the alphabet that students will color and cut out to create an alphabet Flipbook. This is a great activity for ELA centers when learning the Letter of the Week.
Note: The pictures for the Letter X are pictures that end with the X sound.
Directions for use:
Make copies of the desired alphabet picture sheet(s). Instruct students to color and cut out the pictures. Place pictures in a stack and staple the stack to the end of a sentence strip (one half of a sentence strip is a good size for this activity). Instruct students to write the appropriate letter and the words “is for” on the sentence strip
(for example: Aa is for) to create a flipbook. Students can read the various sentences to a partner by flipping the pictures up one at a time and/or write the sentences on writing paper.
