Play like a traditional go fish game. You decide to play with a full deck or partial deck. Players ask each other for matching alphabet cards. Play until all the cards have been paired, the player with the most paired cards wins the game. You can decide to play with the full deck or play with a smaller deck and focus on the
letter cards that your child needs to learn. If your child does not yet know the letters you can still play by asking for the animal or picture on each card. This made a great end of the year gift to the students last year, it would make an equally great gift for the beginning of the year. Encourage the parent/child interactions. Can be used as flash cards, sorting/ordering cards, or a matching memory game.
