This book was created for daily handwriting practice. The order of the letters pages and the review pages are based on the phonics scope and sequence of our Kindergarten curriculum (TEKS Resource System). However, you can use the pages in any order you want to.
I use the terms “sky” for the top line, “fence” for the middle dotted line, and “ground” for the bottom line.
There are two sets: one with the letter formation guide and one without.
After the letter “k” is introduced, there are two options—one with a D’Nealian “k” and one with a traditional “k.” We felt like the D’Nealian “k” was too difficult for kindergarteners, so we use a simpler version.
The pictures on each page correlate with my ABC chart, Word Wall cards, and my Alphabet banner chart that is hanging in my room.
