These letter sort literacy centers are perfect for letter recognition or discrimination between two, three, and four letters at a time. You get 30 pages of letter sorts.
HERE IS THE PAGE BREAKDOWN FOR YOUR PURCHASE -
The 30 pages are set up so the child can first differentiate between first only two letters, then three, and finally four. The two letter sort gives the young child the success they need to become confident and the four letter sort gives the older child enough of a challenge to really make them think (such as the b,d,p,q sort).
These worksheets are great for helping a child who is just learning letters. Or they make a great review for the child who knows all of his/her letters. I created these while teaching Kindergarten based upon my Reading Recovery training.
Once the child has been shown how to complete the first sheet, s/he should be able to complete the rest independently. These worksheets can be used during phonics, reading, writing, word work, or center time! They also help with cutting skills.
We used these during our 30 minute reading block when I taught Kindergarten. The 30 printable worksheets allowed us to do about one each week throughout the school year, taking some weeks "off" due to weather, holiday activities, or other topics that came up.
