Use this resource to supplement your “Letter of the Week” instruction. This type of alphabet activity allows your Pre-school and Kindergarten students to practice working independently, and is a great reinforcer for those students who need a little extra practice, ESL or ELL students, or learning disabled students. They can be used as a center activity, classwork, or homework assignment to practice learning each letter of the alphabet. Each letter of the alphabet has 6-7 coloring sheets. The coloring sheets were created for Pre-K and Kindergarten students, meaning they strike the right balance of being large enough for easy coloring, not too busy, and each sheet has two (2) sentences that can be read by emergent readers. These worksheets address the following skills:
• Identify upper and lower case letters
• Associate sound and symbol for all letters
• Sight word practice
• Color word recognition
• Vocabulary development
• Reading fluency
• Following directions
