I created this independent center to be a resource that students could use as they are learning the correct formation of how to write the alphabet letters. I am always looking for ways to make the learning a multi-sensory experience for my students. I like how these learning mats can be printed in color, laminated, and used over and over again. The children can also practice writing the letters using dry erase markers on the laminated copies. After your students cover the letters with unifix cubes, challenge them to sort and count the different colors they used. This is a fun way to integrate math with literacy. I hope these mats prove to be a favorite!
Happy Teaching! :)
