This product contains 28 letter cards featuring an upper case letter, a picture, and lowercase letter.
Once you have printed these on cardstock and laminated them, you can cut them in half vertically on the picture. You can also cut them in half diagonally as well. The idea here is that the kids have a self-checking game/activity. Even though they are putting together two halves they will still be seeing the upper and lowercase letters that are associated with the picture. This will help the kids to start identifying the upper and lower case letters, as well as a picture that matches.
I would store these in a gallon bag. I would also not give kids all of the letters right away but build up over time.
The letter X and U have two different cards; x-xylophone and fox (as some places use the ending sound in fox as their association); U-is umbrella or an arrow pointing up.
This can be used in small group, sent home for parents to use with their kids, or placed in a literacy center.
