This Alphabet Matching literacy center activity focuses on identifying beginning letter sounds. The activity board features 26 pictures that represent each letter of the alphabet. Students determine the beginning letter sound and cover each picture with the matching letter tile. A recording sheet with corresponding alphabet pictures is included. Students write the missing beginning letter to complete the word.
This is a low-prep activity. Simply print and cut apart the letter tiles. Laminate and use heavy paper for durability. Each page comes in both color and black lines.
This alphabet picture matching activity is great for reading centers or independent work. It is a fun and engaging way to practice key language skills for young learners.
