This is a PDF download of an activity called Alphabet Parking Lot.
This activity includes two parking lot templates with a combined amount of 26 uppercase letters, one in each parking lot space. It also includes two pages of cars with a lowercase letter on each car (26 cars total.)
This could be used as an ABC center, an interactive worksheet, a practice activity for those who struggle with letter identification, pronunciation, or uppercase and lower case letter matching, or could even be modified to act as an informal assessment to see if the student can demonstrate their knowledge of the alphabet and the letter sounds. This activity could be used as an instructional tool for younger students or as a fun review for older students.
In my classroom, I used this as an ABC center and the students loved it, especially the car theme. I allowed one-to-two students to play this matching game at once, since there are two parking lot sheets. I also used it as an informal assessment with a few students to see which letters and sounds they had trouble identifying. I would say, "Can you park the car with the letter "e"?" or I would park a car and ask, "What letter is this?" or "What sound does this letter make?"
