I use these laminated alphabet cards in my Literacy Rotations. I put them out on the table/carpet with a basket of pegs. My students enjoying clipping the pegs onto the pictures that begin with the letter in the middle of the card.
We also like to use our other manipulatives (buttons, teddy bear counters etc). The students have to make up their own rule i.e. “A green counter means it DOES start with that letter. A red counter means that it DOESN’T.”
* Great phonological awareness and initial sounds activities. These also make perfect Early Finisher Activities.
