These whimsical poems are written in a dotted font so your students can trace (with a fine tip marking pen) only the letter you are working on. Since the poems contain alliteration, one letter is repeated several times in each poem.

We color the bubble letter at the top of the chant, trace the chosen letters throughout the chant, and glue the chant to the front flap of a piece of 12"X18" construction paper which has been folded to measure 12"X12". The 6" front flap is perfect for the poem and the pocket holds all of the other pages and craft projects we created to go along with that letter. I staple the pockets at each side with just one staple at the top of the front flap on each side. I send home 5-6 pocket pages at a time until we have completed the entire alphabet.

These go perfectly with our Phonics Dictionary pages which are also in our TPT store.
