Alphabet outlines and a picture are provided on each page in a minimalist design (with simple and stylish backgrounds).
It can be used for fine motor practice with play dough (or doh) and other materials. It can also be displayed in the home or classroom as alphabet posters for the wall (wall chart) or flash cards. The sheets may also be used for finger tracing or alphabet writing for pre-schoolers.
Using playdough on these outlines will strengthen fine motor skills in children. It requires rolling, pinching, and acurate placement. These will work on finger strengthening, grip strengthening, fine motor dexterity and control, all while preparing for or reinforcing handwriting and letter recognition and learning about some Australian animals. Increase difficulty by using other forms of dough or putty, or fill the letter outlines with items such as mini pompoms using tweezers.
You may also choose to glue sand on the letters for a sensory finger tracing task to use as a Montessori inspired activity. Would be perfect as an Australian themed alphabet booklet.
Beautiful pictures / photographs/ images of animals found in Australia are displayed for each letter of the alphabet. Great for nature focus or Australia study in a classroom or even unit study in a homeschool.
Queensland Beginner's Font is used. Upper and lower case letters are provided from Aa to Zz.
Laminating is recommended before using with dough.
The posters will be a great purchase for teachers, parents, occupational therapists, special education teachers.
