** Teaching the Alphabet with PowerPoint **
This bundle of 13 PowerPoint presentations will help your students master the letters A through M. The presentations for the other letters (N-Z) are listed in a separate bundle, due to file size limits on TpT :)

I have used these presentations for the past several years and my kiddos always love them... plus they learn their letters and sounds quickly!!
Each presentation will follow a similar pattern:
At the beginning of the presentation, students will identify both the uppercase letter and the lowercase letter. They will respond with a thumbs up, while saying the letter name or a thumbs down, while saying "No Way!!" Then, a thumbs up or thumbs down will appear on the screen allowing them to check their answer.
Next, students will learn about the correct formation of the letters. During these slides, you may choose to have students write on paper or whiteboards; you could also have the practice the correct formation in the air or "on the back of the student sitting in front of them."
Finally, students will practice listening for the sound for the focus letter. For most consonants, they will listen for the sound both at the beginning of words and at the end of words. (There are some consonants where students will only listen for the beginning sound, such as h, j, w, y, and z). For the letters c and g, students will listen for both the hard and soft sounds. For vowels, they will listen for the short vowel sound at the beginning and the in middle of the word. They will again respond with a thumbs up or thumbs down.
In addition, each section begins with an "I Can" statement to state the purpose of the activity.
These PowerPoints are a great way to actively engage your whole class in important practice with letters and sounds. These are always favorite activities in my classroom, and I hope your students feel the same!! If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks for looking and happy teaching
