As a Pre-K Teacher, I introduce a letter a week to my students. We brainstorm words that start with this letter, practice writing this letter with fun activities and we make a food that starts with this letter. In the middle of the week, I give them this double sided worksheet. They trace or color the large letters and then trace the smaller letters on the front, both capital and lower-case. Then they flip the paper over and find three lists, one of words and pictures that start with the weekly letter, one that has it in the middle and one that ends with it. They trace these smaller letters and flip it over to the front again. With each page, I have given you a picture sheet. I cut these pictures out and place them on the table. The students glue them on, talking about them as they go. They get very excited with these pictures. I try to also incorporate any pictures of children in the class that also start with that letter. I saved these up and gave them to the students as a bound book at the end of the year. You can also send them home on a weekly basis. This usually takes an entire year for me to cover, as some weeks are short and some letters require more time. Enjoy!
