I've created a 2-piece puzzle for each letter of the Alphabet. Each set has the capital and lowercase of a letter, with an accompanying picture of an object/animal that begins with that particular letter.
For the vowels, I chose a picture that begins with the short sound of that letter. So, for the letter "i" there is a picture of an iguana, and so on.
There are 2 letter per slide, for a total of 13 slides.
For these puzzles, you would print them onto sturdy white paper, cut them out along the border, laminate the puzzles, and THEN cut the puzzle into 2 pieces. IF you were to cut the puzzle before laminating, you'd have to laminate the individual pieces and cut more than you need to. Also, the puzzles wouldn't match up nicely. But, it is ultimately your decision how you choose to do that.
These puzzles are great for small group or independent work during centers or other practice time for young children. I use them at home with my preschooler and they are a big hit!
May your eager students/children have fun while learning!
