27 alphabet puzzles (two options for the letter Xx) in color and ink-saving black and white. Perfect for centers, morning work, small group instruction, or intervention!
How to Use the ABC Puzzles:
These puzzles are perfect for morning work or during center time! They are also great for small group instruction or intervention as a fun way to match letter names and beginning sounds.
Simply print, laminate for durability, and cut out. We’ve included a color version as well as ink-saving black and white. We’ve also included two choices for the letter Xx.
U- Umbrella Bird
X- Fox or X-Ray Fish
We use these ABC puzzles with our ABC wall cards (see below). All of the cards use animals to represent the sounds so there is continuity to the cards. They also have hand movements for each sound to add a kinesthetic modality. Most of the hand movements are done with one hand, so that the kids can still make the movement when they are writing and stretching out sounds to help them remember. We also added music. Each patterned line is sung to the tune of Mary Had a Little Lamb (e.g., A for alligator, a says /a/).
