These phonics puzzles offer your little learners a fun and exciting way to practice letters and sounds. This resource provides 31 puzzles to address the beginning sounds for short vowels, long vowels, and most consonants. The initial hard sound of C and G are addressed. The X puzzle addresses the ending sound of X. Each puzzle has a center piece with a capital and lower case letter printed in an age appropriate font. There are four surrounding pieces with a color picture associated with the letter’s sound. The puzzle pieces are large enough to be easily manipulated by little learners. The completed puzzles are approximately 7.5 inches X 7.5 inches.
These puzzles will work with any phonics program you are using. Each letter’s puzzle is a separate activity, not dependent upon having taught any other letters. You can pull out the puzzles you need for whichever letters and sounds you are addressing on any particular day.
