Alphabet Readers

Here is a collection of fun and engaging alphabet books for your beginning readers. Reading these books is a great way to reinforce reading strategies, build vocabulary and teach your students that everyone can read! Included are 26 colored alphabet readers (one for each letter of the alphabet) along with 26 black and white alphabet readers. Each book contains a cover page along with 5 pages of pictures and text that start with the letter. The books are the size of half of an 8.5 x 11 paper (horizontal). You can make two books per page.

I like using the colored reader as a teacher text while I work with small groups of students and give each student their own black and white version of the book, in which they can color and keep it for their own.

This collection is appropriate for any Pre-K and K class or serve as a review for students still working on letter-sound relationships in First Grade.
