As students race around each track, they will practice letter identification and letter formation. Each track has green dots to guide children where to start, arrows to point them in the right direction, and stop signs to help them know when they have reached the end. You can decide to let your students play and explore as they use the Alphabet Road Letter Mats to drive on, or learn and practice as they learn to drive along the road following the guides.

Each Alphabet Road Letter Mat includes a stop light with 3 pictures on it that match the letter (A has an acorn, apple, and ant). The mat also includes a tracing line on each letter and a writing line at the bottom of the mat. If you laminate the mats or put them inside a protective sheet, students can use washable dry erase markers to practice tracing and writing the letters on their own.

To set up the activity students can use small toy cars to drive on the mats or you can cut out the provided cars, laminate them, and stick them to the end of a popsicle stick or unsharpened pencil so they can be driven around the mats.

Alphabet Road Letter Mats Set Includes:
