"I can't wait to do that handwriting worksheet!" said no 5-year-old ever. Let's face it, handwriting worksheets are dull and boring, but tracing letters does reinforce letter recognition and develop fine motor skills. Kids learning to write need that practice. The solution to that problem? Turn it into a game!
Here are 26 tracing pages (A-Z) along with dice patterns and inserts for pocket dice (whichever meets your needs). The children each have their own page, but take turns rolling the dice. They trace the uppercase or lowercase letter in the color shown. The kiddos will never know they are practicing letter recognition, visual discrimination, and (gasp!) handwriting.
