Are you struggling to find time for science in your curriculum? As Early Education teachers, our days are filled with ELA and Math goals, which leaves little time for science and STEM activities. In this resource, each science activity is based on an alphabet letter, which makes it possible for them to be included in your literacy block. Most of the science activities can be taught and finished in one day, but there are a few that require a second day. As with all teacher ideas, you as the teacher, make the choice as to how in-depth you feel you can go. Some of these activities can be used for STEM projects that are appropriate for our youngest learners.
Each alphabet letter has a mini book, teacher directions/information, related science project, and recording sheets. You can print and bind these pages into a book OR simply import onto your interactive whiteboard. The mini books are written in such a way that you can pick and choose which pages and/or concepts are appropriate for your group. The mini books are written as a TEACHER
read aloud; not in an emergent reader student format. Therefore, no blacklines are given for the mini books.
These activities are perfect for supplementing your Next Generation Science Standards curriculum.
