This fun hands-on set includes 27 no-prep cut and glue activities to practice, re-teach, or assess basic knowledge and understanding of letter-sound correspondence. Students can color, cut, and paste to sort the pictures by their beginning sounds.
This download includes pages for all letters of the alphabet A-Z, with the exception of X. There just aren’t many words out there that actually begin with the /ks/ sound. Each letter is paired with another letter at least twice in the download. For example: Dd is paired with Rr on one page and it is paired with Bb on another to give students multiple practice with each letter.
I paired my letters based on the order they are covered in Scott Foresman Kindergarten Reading Street. I used a number of clip art sources to help provide a variety of pictures and I’ve included a Picture Key so you know it is a picture of a “yam” and not a “potato”, or a “sailboat” and not a “boat.”
