This is a fun way for kids to make big letters and learn each letter of the alphabet. It includes a template for you to cut out colored paper or card stock. Children make letters with 4 simple shapes. It works into a very colorful alphabet if you use scrapbooking paper. I used these simple shapes with preschoolers, kindergartners and special needs students. Children manipulate the four easy shapes to make the letter. A great springboard for teaching letter recognition and sounds. It's easy to make an alphabet book and you can make it more challenging by adding a pile of magazines and have the child choose pictures that start with the letter sound. Then put the pictures adjacent to their alphabet letter.
