This activity is for pre and early literacy learners.
It can be used for both with the Pre-K/K population, as well as with English language learners of all ages.
I personally use this product with my adult ESL students who are brand new to the language and do not know letter names or sounds. You could also use this with preschool students!
Each page allows for multiple opportunities to write, say and read the letter.
The words in the "read it" section have the letter/sound in initial, medial and final position of words (when appropriate).
I took a phonological approach (the speech path in me) and only included words that had the letter making the target sound in it (i.e., you won't find "knife" on the K page or "cry" on the Y page).
For right now I have just done short vowel sounds because that is what I'm doing with my students.
Follow me for more ESL/EFL and Speech Therapy materials coming soon!
Thank you and enjoy :)
INCLUDED IN THIS DOWNLOAD:
- Capital and lowercase writing practice
- 5 opportunities to produce the sound
- 3-4 examples of common, familiar vocabulary words with the letter sound in initial, medial and final word position (when appropriate)
