This Alphabet Write the Room Activity focuses on reading and writing words that start with the letter D. You receive 8 alphabet word cards, recording sheets, and writing extension activities. Place the 8 alphabet word cards around the room and give each student a recording sheet. Students will walk around the room searching for cards. As they find each card, students will write the word next to the matching picture on the recording sheet.
This is a low-prep activity. Simply print and cut apart the cards. Use heavy paper and laminate for durability. The two recording sheets make it easy to differentiate. One has the words written in a tracing font, and the other has blank lines. The writing extension activities offer additional practice. The first activity is a word sort based on the number of letters. The second activity is a sentence writing page. The alphabet word cards, recording sheets, and extension activities come in both color and black lines.
This Alphabet Write the Room Activity is a fun and engaging way to practice key language skills for young learners.
