You Can Learn Your Letters and Sounds with Me
These are ready to use printable worksheets to reinforce letter recognition, letter formation and beginning or initial sounds for upper and lower case letters of the alphabet. It does not go into long vowel sounds but rather short vowel sounds only. These activities, which ask students to color boxes that have the designated letter, circle pictures that have the initial or beginning sound of the letter, trace and then write the upper and lowercase letter are aligned with Common Core Standards for Kindergarten, but may certainly be used for RTI, interventions and reinforcement for first grade students who are struggling with letter and sound recognition.. have used these pages with Kindergarten Special Education students and they LOVED working with the pages. I actually used the pages that had the letters that spelled their names. This personalized the activity and they were so excited. Then after writing and tracing their names, we made their names using Fruit Loop cereal covering each letter of their name encouraging fine motor skills.
