Student alphabet linking charts in black and white
All of the pictures are intentionally chosen to represent a certain letter sound. This way each time a child looks at the picture they hear the sound we want them to hear. All of the vowels are short vowel words (apple, egg, iguana, octopus, umbrella). Letters like c or g that make different sounds have the hard sound (cat, girl). X uses box. The only word in the alphabet to end with the letter sound.
